Welcome to The Geographical Society of India
The Geographical Society of India, formerly Calcutta Geographical Society was founded on the 29th July, 1933. Since its inception the society has passed through the chequered course of development. The most important and vital activity of the society is the publication of the Review. It has been well known as a journal containing valuable research papers contributed by established geographers and other scientists of repute. The society is fortunate enough to have its office at the Department of Geography, Calcutta University, 35 Ballygunge Circular Road, Kolkata 700 019.
